Siri Trunk Show this weekend

This weekend we will have a large selection of Siri bridal gowns and mother of occasion dresses in the boutique for our Siri trunk show. Siri offers some amazing and understated bridal gown styles as well as some very fun and unique mother of occasion dresses. Do all brides get that "feeling"?

If you are a bride you know what I am referring to. I am talking about the rush of emotion, the tears, the feeling in your that gut tells you "YES THIS IS THE DRESS!!  We have all seen this reaction on so many brides in magazines, movies and on tv.  And because of all of this brides feel that they haven't found the perfect bridal gown until they get these "feelings". 

Through my past experience shopping for my gown and then assisting with hundreds of brides in finding theirs at Miss Ruby I can tell you that not all brides get the "feeling".  Some brides are more emotional than others. So you'll see tears. But there are so many brides that don't shed a tear either. I have seen so many brides put so much pressure on themselves and second guess themselves because they aren't balling their eyes out.

There are of course going to be the brides that break out in tears because they are overwhelmed with emotion in how beautiful they feel in the gown.. And there are going to be brides that break out in tears because decision making is so difficult and that once they choose their gown they'll break out in tears because they are so happy to have finally been able to make a decision!  I was one of those brides! And then there is the brides with no tears at all. Which is totally fine too! 

Brides just need to ask themselves am I happy in this gown? Do I not want to take it off? Can I picture myself in this gown on my wedding day? Do I feel comfortable? If the answers are yes but there aren't any tears...no worries!  Believe me you are going to look gorgeous, tears or not!  And one last thing - the dress is all about you and what you want!  Many brides look for reassurance from a mother, family member or a close friend and aren't always going to get it. It is YOUR choice. Don't lose confidence in what you choose!

This is a fantastic new mother of occasion style from Watters & Watters. It can also be ordered as separates so you can mix and match different skirt styles (short, long, trumpet, a-line) and different tops (blouse, jackets). But  mom's need to plan ahead...this style can be made to order in about 8-10 weeks.

What if my bridesmaids live out of town?

We have had many brides comment that they have hesitated to shop at Miss Ruby for bridesmaid dresses because their bridesmaids do not live in the Milwaukee area and are scattered all over the place. We work with bridesmaids and brides, wherever they may be, all of the time and offer an ordering/shipping option for those out of town ladies that makes the process super easy and painless! So there really is no need to shop at a large, chain bridal shop if your maids live out of town. Your bridesmaids will get the same one-on-one attention that we offer all of our customers without having to visit the boutique. Something most of the larger chain stores are unable to offer.

It may seem like a daunting task when your maids are scattered about, but when ordering at Miss Ruby we actually make it extremely easy on everyone!  When you visit us we will help you select a dress or dresses that work well for everyone. Feel free to bring along the bridesmaids that live in the area. But if you don't have any in the area you can try on the dresses yourself. If you like the dress on yourself your bridesmaids are sure to as well!

Once you have selected a dress just let your bridesmaids know that they can give us a call to place their order. We recommend giving them a deadline so that all maids will place their order in a timely fashion.  They will just need to provide us with their measurements (bust/waist/hip/height), which they can get at a professional seamstress or tailor in their area. With their measurements we will be able to determine the appropriate size to order. All of the ordering & payment can be done over the phone. And when the dresses arrive we will ship them directly to the bridesmaids. Pretty easy!! We will also keep you (the bride) updated throughout the process. So you have no need to worry about anything!

We do highly recommend that you order ALL of your bridesmaid dresses from the same boutique for several reasons. By ordering the dresses together it will ensure that all of your dresses will arrive at the same time and that all of your bridesmaids will actually get their dresses on time! And it also will reduce the risk of having the fabric color vary among the dresses. When the dress orders are placed from one boutique the dresses are made with fabric from the same dye lot so color won't vary among the dresses.

We make the process very easy on the entire bridal party and keep the bride updated throughout the process. We've worked with hundreds of out of town bridesmaids and we'd love to assist you with yours!
