Appointment Courtesy Reminder

Lately we have had many very last minute cancellations (calling less than an hour before scheduled appointment time) & no-shows.  Please be courteous and cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time. We are a small boutique so we only serve a few brides at each scheduled appointment time. Our appointment schedule fills up very fast and we do have to turn some brides away. So if you don't show up or cancel last minute we aren't able to fill your spot.

Please be kind and notify us well in advance to re-schedule or cancel.

Thank you!

Inspiration: A Colorful Wedding

We like brides who aren't afraid of anything - especially putting their own stamp on their big day. And to have a wedding as colorful as the ones pictured below, you need a certain kind of confidence. For brides that are willing to take the risk and make bright colors a staple at their big day, it can definitely pay off. Bright, bold, unabashed colors are always unforgettable and sure to put a smile on every guest's face.

Check out the photos below for inspiration, and then come to Miss Ruby Boutique to see how we can help add some color to your wedding day.

Wedding Inspiration: A Wedding in the Mountains

We recently worked with a bride who was getting ready for a June wedding in the mountains of Colorado. We're happy to say that she left our boutique with both a gown and one of our faux-fur shrugs, and will look absolutely stunning on her big day. While mountains are hard to find in Wisconsin, a destination wedding somewhere out west will give you a perfect backdrop and "big sky" feeling. Just like our bride, fur shrugs make a great accessory for an outdoor affair. And don't be afraid to add a little sparkle as well - it makes a great contrast with the natural surroundings.

Check out our pictures below (some are absolutely breathtaking) and get inspired by the beautiful brides in the fresh mountain air!

A Guide to Antique Wedding Rings

While scouring Etsy for a unique bridal find, we stumbled across an article that caught our eye. It was the Guide to Antique Wedding Rings by Lauren Thomann, and it was interesting and informative! In her article, Thomann breaks down each era and tells you the "Why's" and "How's" of engagement rings popular during that period. There are also gorgeous pictures of vintage rings, in case you just want to gawk at some diamonds.

Wedding Inspiration: Gold

If you want to really glam up your wedding, think about adding a touch of gold to your soiree. It will automatically give everything a super luxurious feel. Pair it with silver and red for an unforgettable holiday wedding, or keep all other accents strictly black for an old-Hollywood feel. Check out our pictures below to see how gold can really make your wedding glitter.

JC1820 by James Clifford is a unique shade called "spun gold," which looks great on almost everyone!
