Wedding Favors Your Guests Will Love

When it comes to wedding planning, sometimes the smallest details can be the toughest. Finding a dress, finding a location and finding a photographer are all high on the to-do list, but don't forget, it's the little details that are really going to make your big day memorable. Thanking your friends and family for taking time out of their busy schedules to celebrate your wedding with you is definitely a must! Check out these ideas for wedding favors that we think your guests will absolutely love.

1. Local Flavors
If many of the guests are self confessed "foodies," this is a great gift for them! Check out Farmers Markets in the area to find farms that will be more than happy to supply their product for your wedding. Also, using local vendors not only helps your community but also allows your out-of-town guests to take home some local flavors.

Honey Jars from local vendors is a great way to take the taste of the region home!

Locally tapped maple syrup (like these from a Vermont wedding) are adorable and delicious!

Locally grown cherries (Door County, anyone?) are a tasty treat!

2. Libations
If you are having a wedding (especially in Wisconsin), it's no secret that most of your guests will be indulging in alcoholic beverages. Embrace this idea by giving your guests something that they can drink. These gifts will please a crowd that loves to party.

If the bride or groom love home-brewing, this is a great way to showcase it!

For Whiskey drinkers, this is a perfect present that is sure to get use!

Adding fun pictures of the couple to mini-champagne bottles makes for a meaningful gift (and a fun toast!)

3. Homemade and from the Heart
If you are ready to DIY, this is a great option for you. Giving your guests something that you made (or at least assembled!) will be a great way to show your guests how much you truly appreciate their presence at your big day.

Mini-planters with flowers inside are gifts that guests can enjoy more than once!

Great at baking? Share your gift with homemade cookies.

If you are really crafty, homemade soaps make favors that smell wonderful.

4. A Charitable Donation
This is our favorite idea for a wedding favor! In lieu of a gift, donate the money to a charity that is meaningful to the bride and groom. It is a great use of the money, and guests will love the idea that their "gift" went to a greater cause. Check out how other brides presented this as a "favor" to their guests, and definitely consider this option when planning your wedding.

Just In: Robert Bullock Bridal

Based out of New York, Robert Bullock is hands down one of our favorite designers. We are so excited about our new dresses from his collection, we just have to share them with our brides and brides-to-be!

The Virginia is a simple yet stunning lace a-line gown and the newest in our collection. It comes with a satin cummerbund, but we think it would look even better with a custom Jaxie Belt to add some sparkle!

Bridesmaids Dresses by Body Type

When it comes to bridesmaids (and women in general), no two are exactly alike - that's why picking one dress that every girl looks good in can sometimes be a challenge. Many brides have chosen to pick a unifying color (rather than dress) and let their bridesmaids pick a dress that flatters their unique body type. Whether you are a bride considering this option, or a bridesmaid looking for the perfect dress, check out which dresses look the best on each body type. The best part? Miss Ruby Boutique carries all the dresses pictured below!

Body Type: Busty
Just as the name implies, busty girls have a lot going on up top. We all know no girl wants to be worried about having a wardrobe malfunction at the wedding, so we always recommend dresses with thick straps and a neckline that enhances your two best features. But remember, before you get your dress, invest in some quality undergarments - they are a must for busty girls!

Body Type: Pear Shaped
If your bottom is the biggest part of your body, then you are a "pear-shaped" girl. For these ladies, the trick is finding a dress that accentuates a small waist but also flatters her figure. We recommend a dress with a cinched waist and a fuller skirt. Luckily this 1950's silhouette is back in style and finding a dress that accentuates your features is a breeze!

Body Type: Hourglass
Girls with this classic silhouette have the unique advantage of having the most versatile figure to dress. To accentuate an Hourglass figure, the trick is playing up your curves to your advantage. A dress with a v-neckline and a cinched waist will hit you in all the right places and make you look gorgeous!

Body Type: Slender
Slender girls have a straight up-and-down body type without too many curves. For this body type, a few more fashion risks can be taken, so we definitely recommend wearing something trendy and modern. Dresses with a peplum won't add any volume in the hips. Also, classic sheath dresses look the best on this body type.
