Bridal gown necklines: How to decide?

Bridal designers are creating more versatile bridal fashion than ever before, but with so many fabulous options, where does one begin? We’ve decided to make it a little easier for you by helping you find the perfect neckline for your body type. Here are a few of the most popular styles:

The One –Shoulder:
Easily one of the hottest bridal trends in recent years and it is easy to see why! This look is fun and flirty, yet modern and elegant at the same time and is perfect for the bride who wants to show off her toned arms and shoulders without showing too much of anything else. While this style is flattering on most body types, it is not always the best choice for those with a broader back or shoulder line.

The Bateau:
Also known as the boatneck or the Sabrina neckline, which was named after the lovely Audrey Hepburn, this almost straight neckline streams across the collarbone typically along the front and the back. This look is perfect for smaller-chested woman and those with a pear shape, as it will add proportion to your upper half. Gotta love that!

The Sweetheart:
As the name implies, the sweetheart creates a curved neckline which resembles the top of a heart. This neckline is shown in a variety of degrees, with some featuring a very subtle curve to others draping deep down the front. This look is also flattering on most body types, especially those with a fuller chest or an hourglass figure and is a definite favorite among brides.

The V-Neck:
The V-Neckline features two lines forming from your shoulder that flow downward to meet at the center of your chest, creating the letter V. Depending on the depth of the V-neck, this can work on all body types in one variation or another, but is best suited for those with a fuller top.

The Straight Strapless:
By far one of the most common bridal necklines, this look is perfect for those who want to show off a collarbones or a fabulous piece of jewelry. While this look may show a bit more skin, it actually offers wonderful coverage and works well on most body types.

Still unsure about what neckline is best for you?
The best way to figure that out is by trying them on. These are just a few of the many neckline possibilities out there. We've got them all and then some so come on in and we'll help you find the perfect one!
