I have spent the last few weeks cleaning out my closets. Putting aside black and gray dresses and other pieces and making room for my more colorful spring and summer dresses. In the process I have definitely cleansed the closet of items that I no longer wear or bought with good intentions of wearing but just never got there! I ended up having a ton of dresses that I needed to do something with. So many of them were still in great condition and many even with the tags on. I realized there are alot of options out there for donating these clothes and even places where you can make a little cash as well!
Here are some great places where you can take your clothes to donate or even sell:
Goodwill - Various Locations

U-Turn Apparel - Wauwatosa

Lela Boutique - Third Ward
www.lelaboutique.com
Lela Boutique sells unique designer consignment and vintage clothing. They even sell prom dresses on consignment!
Giving out your excess clothes to the less fortunate is good, but you still have to consider what you give out to them. What one can do is to sort the clothes, see which ones he/she still wants to keep and the ones he/she wants to donate. Sending out clothes that are in bad condition might make the recipient feel like the entire thing hasn't been given much thought. The morale of the recipients should be greatly considered as well.
