You really can wear it again...take 2

Ladies here’s more proof that you can wear your bridesmaid gown again! This Watters dress is not only perfect for walking down the aisle in a spring or summer wedding, it’s also great for sprucing up a day at the office, a night out with the ladies, or dinner and definitely dessert with your new beau! The options are limitless.

What’s better, accomplishing this amazing feat, is so very simple. This is a fabulous piece to work with because the crinkle chiffon material can look great by itself but also meshes well with other fabrics. The shirred straps and wrap sash make for a fun neckline and just the right amount of feminine frill. Knowing this makes it easier to find items to pair with it.

First I started by adding a neutral colored leather jacket, found at Luci Boutique, to dress it down. Because this frock has such great details around the bust and waist, opt for a cropped jacket. Anything longer or bulkier will take too much away from the form flattering cut of the dress, and can make you look boxy. To finish the look I added a chunky necklace, compliments of FRED, to keep the look fun and fashionable.

So ladies, before you take your scissors to yards of Taffeta, remember that bridesmaid dresses can be worn again! Don’t let their name fool you. You’ll find that after all the cake and champagne toasts, they’re really a fashion gem in disguise!

You really can wear it again

As promised ladies, here is just one of the many ways to take this Lela Rose bridesmaid dress from matrimony to dinner and a matinee just by adding some fabulous accessories. I started with the bronze chain link necklace, compliments of FRED boutique. I chose this piece for a couple reasons. First, the brass tint makes it neutral against the bright hues of this gorgeous Oasis blue, which means less color clutter. Second, using a chunkier necklace takes away from the delicate details of the tuxedo pleat and covered buttons, giving it a more casual feel. This being said, I didn’t want to take too much attention away from the feminine details which makes this bridesmaid dress so unique, so I added the leopard print belt. This belt, which you can find at Luci boutique, is a great way to give this elegant piece a playful twist, not to mention making it an instant fashion statement. Finally, to complete this look I added the plum jacket (also found at FRED). Not only is this jacket a neutral color against the bright blue, but its tailored fit meshes perfectly with the feminine details of this dress.

See, it really is true…whether it’s to work or play, you really can wear this bridesmaid dress again!
