Bridesmaid Style: Dusty Pastel

The soft & subtle color palette of dusty pastels is absolutely lovely. If you are looking for a mixed color palette for your bridesmaid dresses, but want to add a little more color than the current trend of mixed neutral & blush, this is a fabulous option for you. You can utilize a wide range of colors to make this palette come to life - deep purple, blush, lavender, tangerine, coral, soft rose, tangerine, silver & so much more!  Blush palettes are all the rage right now, however, this doesn't always work on all skin tones. These dusty pastels give you much more color to play with to complement each bridesmaid. This style works at just about any type of venue but we certainly can picture it at an outdoor setting or a charming B & B! Isn't it just lovely?!

Mix & Match Bridesmaid Dress Ideas You'll Love

Want each bridesmaid to stand out in her own unique way but still portray a uniform look among your bridal party? Combining different variations of dresses will do just that! One way to do this is keeping the shade, length and fabric of the dress consistent but mixing it up with styles based on what flatters each bridesmaid & what they like best! Here are a few ideas to get you started but make sure to visit Miss Ruby -  a stylist can make going the mix and match route easy peasy.

  Accent Detailing

Each of these gowns share a similar "criss-cross" detail on the bodice, while maintaining the same shade, length and fabric of the dress. This is a beautiful way to create fluidity within the bridal party.
Featuring: Watters 1529,  Watters Mulberry, WTOO 985

 Featured Necklines

Another cohesive way to showcase your bridesmaids individually is to select gowns with slightly varying necklines. Each of these dresses are considered "halters", however each they are all different in their own unique way!
Featuring: Alfred Sung D470, D494, D480

Ombre Pallet

Selecting complementary shades from the same color family can create a fun effect within the bridal party. This works best when the gown is the same style or very similar on each maid. The statement of this trend should focus on the contrast of coloring!
Featuring: Jim Hjelm 5301, 5315, 5423

Statement Maid-Of-Honor
Never be afraid to experiment with lengths, especially when you want to feature a special person within the bridal party. Try Giving your Maid-Of-Honor a cocktail gown with unique details that flow into the dresses worn by the rest of your maids.

This choice is determined not at random but by a lot of market research and other factors, so the choice of this year's color- Radiant Orchid- was after careful consideration.

Bridesmaids Dress Remix: Wtoo 260

This Bridesmaids Dress Remix features a dress right off our sample sale rack. With all of our 2014 new arrivals, we are running out of room in our store for all of our great dresses. This means that many of our dresses, including the one pictured below, are on sale for only $25 dollars!

Wtoo #260:
This dress' rich shade of plum satin looks perfect with items that are probably already in your closet. We suggest pairing this dress with classics such as a camel cardigan, tweed blazer, and suede pumps. Pops of burgundy, whether in a leather bag or lip color, contrast beautifully with the purple tones of the dress - so do other luxurious colors like jade and gold. Finally, we added a few sophisticated accessories, like tortoise-shell glasses and a charming wallet, to polish off the look!

Wedding Inspiration: Limeade

A new bridemaids dress in a brand new color is making a big impact in our store! After Six #6689 (pictured below) is sampled in a stunning shade of lux chiffon called "Limeade," and although it's difficult to see in the picture, the color is a soft shade of neon green.

Because it is so playful and unique, we can see this color becoming incredibly popular for upcoming summer weddings. This inspired us to make an Inspiration Board of color, perfect for brides who don't shy away when it comes to bright colors and bold statements.
