JoBead is coming to town

Stacy from JoBead will be joining us on Saturday for the trunk show. Stacy designs/creates amazing jewelry. She'll have one-of-a-kind pieces available for purchase. Think Christmas gifts! Plus, all of her proceeds go to charities supporting women in need all over the world. How sweet is that? You are shopping and donating at the same time;)

If you want to get creative you can also work with Stacy on designing your own jewelry. You can design something to match your Delanie Couture outfit or even better...you can create something for a friend. What a great gift! Brides love to design pieces for their maids and moms!

Check out JoBead's website for more info - http://www.jobead.com/.

Delanie Couture Photo Shoot

I wanted to share some great photos with you all. Brittany and Miranda from Hanle Productions (http://www.hanle-productions.com/) took some amazing photos at Miss Ruby a few weeks ago. As the exclusive retailer of the Delanie Couture bridesmaid dress collection we have been working together with Delanie Couture on ads and other promotional materials. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to work with Brittany and Miranda for this shoot for some of our upcoming ads. You'll be able to see some of the photos from this shoot in ads in Premier Bride, Milwaukee Magazine, and other publications. The girls at Hanle are so talented. Some of the amazing photos they shot are below. Make sure to let them know if you need a photographer for your engagement, wedding or any other special events! We highly recommend them;)

Can I tell the bride how I REALLY feel about her bridesmaid dress selection?

Ultimately the bride makes the final decision on what dress the bridesmaids should wear. After all it is her wedding! However, the brides do need to remember that the reason their bridesmaids have been chosen is because they have been their friends forever. The bride would never choose to have anyone else stand by her side. So brides… since your bridesmaids have been there for you through it all, it is ALWAYS best to keep your bridesmaids’ tastes in mind when selecting their dresses. This means considering their budgets, personalities, shapes and sizes. You definitely want your bridesmaids to be comfortable.

And for all you bridesmaids out there…virgins or not…you definitely need to be flexible and willing to compromise. However, make sure to share your opinions on the fit and comfort of the dress. You want to be comfortable, and in the end, the bride wants you to be too. Nobody wants to see wedding pictures with the bride and her grumpy bridesmaids! To avoid situations where the dress is selected without your input make sure to volunteer to help during the selection process. Even offer to help setup an appointment or two and offer to research color and fabric options.

So if the bridesmaids express their preferences and the bride takes them into consideration the bride will end up selecting the perfect dress and everyone will live happily ever after!

Pretty straightforward isn’t it?

If you can’t decide…just ask Miss Ruby…we’ll tell you which one to choose!

Create your own dress collection by local fashion designer coming to Miss Ruby...and a fabulous launch party to kick it off!

Time and time again our brides are telling us about their bridesmaids and how different they all are from each other in size/shape, personality, and style. They are always expressing how they want a dress that reflects each maid’s personality and style and is complementary and comfortable! And who wouldn’t want that for their maids? Especially since the bridesmaids typically make up a group of your closest family & friends – those that have been there for you through everything and now you couldn’t be prouder that they are standing beside you on one of the most important days of your life.

Bridesmaid dress designers have been working very hard on introducing lines that offer different, yet complementary, styles in the same fabrics so brides can offer their maids the option of picking a style that they are comfortable with but still complements the other bridesmaids’ dresses. Miss Ruby offers dresses from many of these amazing designers.

But, there still wasn’t the perfect bridesmaid dress collection out there that allowed girls to completely customize their own dress. And we weren’t going to stand for that! We want only the greatest for our customers. So what did we do? We went out and created our very own line with local designer Delanie Seamon, owner of Delanie Couture.

With Delanie Couture’s new collection, offered exclusively at Miss Ruby, bridesmaids & party goers will now be able to design their own dress in their own style by choosing every element from the bodice & skirt style to the sash & ribbon details. How fun is that? In addition Delanie will also offer a ready-to-wear collection great for rehearsal dinners, parties, and other fab events.

The new collection will be introduced at Miss Ruby on September 25…just in time for those planning 2009 weddings. And of course we are introducing it Miss Ruby style, complete with a fabulous launch party the night of September 25 from 6-10pm. You’ll get to see all of the new styles being introduced as well as enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres provided by Joey Buona’s and delicious cocktails (martinis of course!) provided by Hav2wnt It Evnts. Some other fun details – floral arrangements will be provided by Muscari, hair/makeup on the models will be provided by Beauty, and photography by Artists’ Eyes.

To top the night off we’ll be raffling off gifts – including a Delanie Couture one-of-a-kind cocktail dress. The first 25 brides to schedule an appointment at Miss Ruby will receive a bottle of wine and goodie bags full of coupons and treats will be available as well to those who attend (while supplies last, of course)!

You won’t want to miss this fun night! And, if you have time Fred Boutique will be having their monthly wine & martini night and the new SOHO art gallery will be hosting their grand opening.
Make sure to mark your calendars. You won’t regret it!

Here is the dress you could win
